Help for Accessing the Digital Audio Website from Off Campus

You are attempting to access the Yale Center for Language Study Digital Audio website from off campus. Due to licensing restrictions, the Digital Audio website is only accessible from computers connected to the Yale network.

The Center for Language Study has three computer labs available to students studying language at Yale. These labs are supported by Center for Language Study staff. If you would like CLS staff to provide you with assistance in accessing the Digital Audio website, you should visit our facility at 370 Temple St.

To access the site from off campus, you first need to use one of the following three methods to connect your computer to the Yale campus network.

Option #1: You could dial up using your modem with a Yale PPP account. Information can be found at:
http://www.yale.edu/its/help/off-campus-access.html#methods
Note that this service is provided and supported by Information Technology Services; Center for Language Study staff cannot provide support for this service.

Option #2: If you have a non-Yale ISP (such as a provider of DSL or Cable Modem service), you could use a service called VPN to connect to the Yale network. Information on VPN can be found at:
http://www.yale.edu/its/help/off-campus-access.html#methods
Note that this service is provided and supported by Information Technology  Services; Center for Language Study staff cannot provide support for this service.

Option #3: If you have a non-Yale ISP, another option would be to use a Yale proxy server. The Yale University Library has provided instructions on how to do this.
Note that this service is not supported by the Center for Language Study.
